[Asterisk-Users] Sending Tones after * connects

Is there a line that I can add to my dial plan so that after * dials a
number out from the FXO card and gets an answer, that asterisk will send
some digits, for example to dial an extension. If I use the dial command
again, does that not hang-up the line and dial again?
