[Asterisk-Users] Feature request for integrating an OSS (Operations Support System) and Asterisk

If the extensions.conf data is loaded from a MySQL database, it is trivial
for it to add, change and suspend "customers" (One of the strengths of
the OSS is the ability to write custom provisioning scripts for
basically anything, as it can use external Perl scripts on the server
side for provisioning and some billing/sales tasks).

Additionally, there is a Perl module which you can use in your own Perl
scripts to do certain things such as add, remove and change products,
work with trouble tickets as well as other things.

Also, while the OSS client itself is in Java, however we currently have
separate web based scripts which interface with our OSS to provide "self
service" functionality for our customers.
