before buying spa-2000 i would recommend ur sister to
use one of the
softphones (X-tern etc). First make sure she can
connect to ur asterisk then
try to establish a softphone-to-softphone
communication.

X-tern (Ur sister) ---> * -----> X-Tern (You). Get
this setup working first.
