[Asterisk-Users] Howto apply a patch, diff file

You use the "patch" command.

You can read the patch man page by typing "man patch"
there are many options like for example to
Save a copy of the original.

It is also good to read the patch file before you apply it
to get a feel for what will be changed.  A patch
file is simply a set of editor commands to be applied.
