[Asterisk-Users] iaxtel, asterisk, and sipura 1000 am having trouble with codecs

hello I am trying to set up iaxtel with asterisk and am using a sipura 1000 when my friend calls me he is sounding like he is in a metal tank that is the best way I can describe it, how ever when he calls me on my grand stream budjet phone 101 it sounds fine.
is there a fix for this really anoying problem?
