If for example I use a SIP service provider in the USA to call a 
number in Australia (I am in New Zealand) then in order to monitor 
the call, they're going to need to send the RTP stream through the 
USA.

This effectively means that there is no point in future using VOIP 
providers based in the USA because they will not be able to transfer 
the RTP away from their servers.

Great for the economy guys!
