[Asterisk-Users] Skinny protocol documentation

Nik,

Try going here.. That's where I got the chan_sccp and got it to work instead
of the skinny protocol built into asterisk.

http://chan-sccp.sourceforge.net/

If you come across any problems with audio and sccp/skinny/CM and asterisk,
by all means, let me know.. I'm searching, I just cannot find anything...
Someone out there must have this working, I'm just hoping him/her is reading
this and replies..

You are probably ahead of me, as I'm just beginning to figure out the files
that need to be TFTP'd to the 7960 from my tftp server!

Whew.. I thought I was the only one :-)

I was able to find the chan_sccp addon for asterisk.. I installed that, and
have been able to get the Cisco 7960 to display 4 lines now (Wasn't able to
do that with the built in Skinny).. But, both the skinny and the chan_sccp
have the same problem..

I cannot hear the conversation from the cisco to the other end.. I can hear
the other end on the cisco, but no audio the other direction..

I am hoping someone knows about this problem and can point me in the right
direction to fix it.

P.S. Nik If you find out anything please let me know, and I'll be sure to do
the same..

I'm also looking for this documentation, as my company just shipped me a
bunch of their second hand phones to use in a remote office with asterisk.
I ordered the SmartNet contracts for all of them, and my supplier just told
me that it may take up to 8 weeks for Cisco to send me my login info. They
aren't to keen on being prompt for $32 worth of contracts. So my only
option is to try to get them working with the Skinny protocol for now.

Any docs that the list could point us to?

Is there a place where I can find documentation on the Skinny protocol in
Asterisk?

I did a search, but I cannot seem to find much... I'm looking for
information on how to get a Cisco 7960 with the CM image on it to work with
asterisk.. Is it support for Skinny in asterisk even mature enough to be
able to do this?

Thanks,
       - Andre
