Hi,
when trying to install asterisk, my system (woody 2.4.18 bf 2.4)stops
after the following lines:

gcc -pipe  -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -
Wmissing-declarations -g  -Iinclude -I../include  -D_REENTRANT -
D_GNU_SOURCE  -O6 -march=i686  -DZAPTEL_OPTIMIZATIONS
-DASTERISK_VERSION=\"CVS-04/11/04-19:46:45\" -
DINSTALL_PREFIX=\"\" -DASTETCDIR=\"/etc/asterisk\" -
DASTLIBDIR=\"/usr/lib/asterisk\" -
DASTVARLIBDIR=\"/var/lib/asterisk\" -
DASTVARRUNDIR=\"/var/run\" -
DASTSPOOLDIR=\"/var/spool/asterisk\" -
DASTLOGDIR=\"/var/log/asterisk\" -
DASTCONFPATH=\"/etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf\" -
DASTMODDIR=\"/usr/lib/asterisk/modules\" -
DASTAGIDIR=\"/var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin\"     -
DBUSYDETECT_MARTIN     -DNEW_PRI_HANGUP    -c -o
aescrypt.o aescrypt.c

The only thing I can do is a (cold) restart. I cannot find anything in
log files.

Kernel sources (2.4.18) and needed packages are installed.

Is this a known problem...??

Regards,
thomas
