It appears this bug has been closed by Mark as resolved yesterday. I don't
believe it actually is resolved as yet.

I upgraded to dev cvs this morning (CVS-04/06/04-07:59:20 CDT) and connections
via C7960 and IAX2 to the * demo are less then acceptable. Very choppy, sound
disappears for multiple seconds, some sounds repeat within a short period of
time (almost like an echo). I'm also hearing the same to other * machines
for which we have iax connections (not just the demo server).

Tested with both a C7960 (v6.3) and Snom 200 (v2.03o). The Snom reproduces very
acceptable iax audio, while the 7960 on the same wire is far from usable.
I tested both phones using g711 and g729 codecs; Snom was good with either
codec while the 7960 was bad with either codec.

I downgraded the 7960 to v6.0 and had the exact same quality problem.

The Snom hangs in there very well with jitter exceeding 50 ms, while the
7960 drops out even at 30 ms. "sip show channels" indicates no jitter while
the "iax2 show channels" indicates anywhere from 20 ms to as high as 80 ms
jitter (the snom hung in there at 80 ms too).

I'm available today for testing if anyone has any ideas.

Rich
