[Asterisk-Users] SIP softphone volume control?

I tried that.  I had he mic level adjusted up so high the sound
breaks up then backed off a tad.  It seems that Asterisk is
sending out sound from the SIP channel at a lower volume then sound
played back from .../sounds/*.gsm files.  I'm looking for a per
channel gain control if it exists.
