The PBX style is just a Master without the test resistor & surge
protector - it is meant for internal cabling. A PBX style is probably
fine for the first connection. If you daisy chain other connectors they
should be slaves. 

Be aware that US and UK line levels are different. Be prepared to adjust
gain settings accordingly if you connect UK style handsets. CallerID
will not be displayed on BT style caller id devices. Email me for a UK
