[Asterisk-Users] vonage and asterisk

The bad news is that Vonage won't give you the information on your 
phone, so you can't use it "directly" from Asterisk via SIP.  I would 
suggest you don't use their service.

There are two alternatives:
   1) You can buy an X100P card from Digium, which then connects to 
your supplied ATA-186, and you can make calls go to the "PSTN" from 
Asterisk, which will really be terminating on your ATA-186.  This is 
a terrible kludge, and is silly.

   2) You can use another SIP/IAX provider for your long distance.  I 
use iconnecthere.com, who coincidentally charges less but only has a 
1000 minute plan.
