Hi Prakash - 

As a slightly more sympathetic new * user... here are a few things I've
discovered in the last 2 days:

Start with the handbook-draft.pdf - it provides a good overview of
Asterisk. It is however only a draft and is missing LOTS of information.
The only application configuration described is for voicemail.
