It seems what you are getting is just a metering pulse, that is, the
other end sends a clear backward (hangup) but immediately send answer
again. All you need to do to fix this is enable metering pulses in
your zapata.conf configuration:

mfcr2_metering_pulse_timeout=500

Let me know whether or not works.
