Which openr2 revision you have installed?
When that timer is enabled I expected several debug messages in the
call file saying stuff like: "Tone 1 ignored" and "Tone off ignored",
that correspond to the tones ignored due to the timer, so either you
set up the timer wrong, or you are using a very old revision.
