[asterisk-gui] Project status & submitting patches

Hey everybody,

I know it's been about a year since the last release, but I've been implementing a system based on Asterisk-GUI lately, and have run into a few bugs...bugs that I've ended up fixing myself.

I'd love to document the problems and share the fixes with everybody else, but I'm very confused about the status of the GUI from Digium's POV. There are apparently still mailing lists, web forums, and IRC channels for this project, but the traffic on all 3 is virtually nonexistant, and even when somebody *does* submit a patch via the official channels, it seems like they get shut down with a vague explanation about the state of things (e.g., see: https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=14154; responses like that don't really do much to encourage others to take the time to share, IMO!).

So that I don't waste my time or yours, can somebody explain to me whether it is worth it to anyone else for me to submit my reports & patches, and if so, where they should go if they are not welcome on the Digium JIRA? Does Digium perhaps just expect people to fork the project off?

Thanks,
