This is actually a bug in Asterisk that has been recently resolved. If you want to wait for the next point release you could go ahead, but if you want the fix now you can checkout the latest revision of the 1.6.1 branch via subversion.
Also, there have been MANY changes/fixes to the GUI since 2.0.4. I wish the latest tag release wasn't so far behind the svn head, but we've had some recent delays making a new tag because this will be the first tag that supports Asterisk 1.6.X. I can promise you that you'll run into issues using 2.0.4 and 1.6.X, so please update :-).

The GUI puts so many blank space in config files., when I am changing any settings in the PBX.,
I am using GUI version 2.0.4. The asterisk version is Asterisk/1.6.1.1
Is this a bug in the GUI.? Is there any patch available for this?
