I agree. Both options are nice but I prefer not to have another bloated sys like trixbox but aslong as there's a simple way to use the static gui i'll be good to go.

My take on it....
FreePBX = Database apps
Asterisk GUI = No database apps
Like Brandon says it is a quick change to the Asterisk GUI if you want
it. I think we will see a market for both the "static" Asterisk GUI
and the "modular" FreePBX in the future.
