Yes.

Well, there have been some discussions on exactly how to handle it 
(whether to do an
alias for the checking, or to detect that on install and use the SESSION 
data for the
Asterisk version, etc etc)

I would say probably 3-4 weeks, because it will be mandatory for some 
other projects :)
