Hey guys,

Something we're missing is a call log in the GUI. All of my systems require this feature. Anyone have any plans to add this?

I 've seen a lot of posts on the Asterisk Now user forum about root
password.
Here is a solution to change root password (I am not an Asterisk Now user, I
just quote a post).

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
"The easiest way I have found to get root access is from the AsteriskNOW
console Menu. Select the second option "console", then press Alt-F9 to get
to the *CLI> prompt. From there type ! and hit enter. Voila, root access.

Now you can change passwords, modify .conf files, format the drive,
whatever."
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I see. I am referring to the asterisknow install package which installs
Linux and all. It asks for a password during intallation but it is assigned
to the admin user so I don't know what the root password is. It must be
different I guess.

I don't think there is a GUI specific root password.
My root password is the one I have choosen on my Linux box. Nothing to do
with Asterisk or the Asterisk GUI.

Dominique.

What is the root password. It seems it sets the password for admin on
installation, but I can't figure out what root is..

Hi Maurizio.
I had the same problem as you.
I installed Asterisk 1.4 and run it as a *non* root user (after modifying
acces rights on a lot of directory). I used to run 1.2 like that. After
installing the GUI I was never able to pass the second step ("next" button
disabled).
I reinstalled Asterisk and run it as root and the GUI runs ok.

I hope this helps.

Dominique.

configuring GUI

Hi,

I have installed Asterisk 1.4 + Asterisk GUI.

All seems to work fine and the output of the "make checkconfig" says that
the varius component are OK.

The problem occurs when I try to configure the GUI from the setup.html. I
see that there are 7 steps but at the second (Date&Time Setting) the "next"
button appears to be disabled.

Someone can help me?

Thanks.

Maury
