Nice!
I'm thinking the headings should probably be more descriptive, with perhap=
s the
technical name in parenthesis. Like this:
6.Modules, or "Things that make Asterisk work."
6.1. Core Asterisk configuration
6.1.1. Defining file locations (asterisk.conf)
6.1.2. The Dialplan (extensions.conf) (see chapters 4 and 5)
6.1.3. Mysterious Modules (modules.conf) :-=DE
6.2. Modules
6.2.1. CAPI and Asterisk (chan_capi)
6.2.2. Configuring ENUM (app_enumlookup)
6.2.3. Define H.323 channels and connections (chan_h323)
(deprecated?) 6.2.4. Define IAX Channels and connections (chan_iax)
6.2.5. Define IAX Channels and connections (chan_iax2)
6.2.6. Creating Conference Rooms (app_meetme)
6.2.7. ISDN4Linux and Asterisk (chan_mISDN)
(deprecated?) 6.2.8. (chan_oh323)
6.2.9. Configuring call parking (app_parkandannounce)
6.2.10. SIP accounts and devices (chan_sip)
6.2.11. Voicemail (app_voicemail)
6.2.12. Voicetronix Cards (chan_vpb)
(move up?) 6.2.13. Digium Zaptel Cards (chan_zap)
Also, I figure we should order the modules in some sort of rank based on w=
hat's
used most (what interests people most). So perhaps:
6.2.1 Digium's Zaptel
6.2.2 Inter Asterisk eXchange (both new and deprecated)
6.2.3 SIP
6.2.4 H.323
6.2.5 Conference Rooms
etc.
Anyhow, I vote to check it in. This is a much more logical foundation to b=
uild from!
