Hello,

good decision. The Kamailio project also does it that way. It makes it also easier to do a diff in case of missing cherry-picks etc..

Cheers,

Henning

Subject: [asterisk-dev] IMPORTANT: GitHub Cherry-Pick Policy Change

After thinking about it over the weekend, we've decided to reverse the order of cherry-picks. Instead of creating PRs for the lowest branch and cherry-picking upwards, create them for the master branch and cherry-pick downwards. There were a few good reasons brought up on IRC but there are also some GitHub automations that only run on a repository's master /main branch. The few existing PRs can remain as they are.
