Well, I totally missed the ‘(!)’ part, that makes sense.

Unfortunately this template is nowhere used in the other documented example settings (whether they are commented out or not) and also the wiki is not very verbose about it: https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Asterisk+Main+Configuration+File.
Just curious what was the reasoning behind making this a template that is never used?
