[asterisk-dev] Embed external video to a call

Hello All,

We have development request for asterisk to make possible embed external
video source into voice call (mostly video from security cameras). Out
original request is very similar to:

What is the proper way to implement this feature now for master branch of
asterisk?

We plan to make something like VEDEOHOOK() dialplan function, that 'll use
some external source (dialplan or playback media URL) using bridges. Should
be this proper way for implementing this feature?
