I find the spec file used by Fedora to be of much higher quality than the
spec file from Digium. It also gets more regular updates and tends to split
out the various modules in a much more rational way.  I'd start here if I
were you: https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/asterisk/sources/spec/
