Module support states would dictate that something that is in 'core' support
is something that Digium has committed development resources to fix bugs in.

As it is, this thread prompted me to go double check what module support state
we *had* put on res_http_websocket - which we marked as 'extended'. So color
me embarrassed :-)

I think we'll revisit that decision during Asterisk 11 beta. While, as I said,
WebSockets would by their very nature have to be viewed as experimental, I'd
prefer to support that feature to the best extent that we can.

Contributions to the Open Source Asterisk project are discussed on the
asterisk-dev mailing list. That certainly has not, and will not change.

The decisions regarding Certified Asterisk were done as a Digium business
decision. Digium is putting time and effort behind an SLA for those
particular releases. The same thing would apply to the Digium phones.
As far as I'm aware, changes to the open source code base in relation to
those items have been done transparently.

I understand if you disagree with their presence on the Asterisk website.
I'm more then happy to discuss those concerns with Malcolm and the business
folks to see if, during the website redesign, we can address some of those
concerns.
