It is unfair that I bear the cost of a bug that invalidates the entire line
of Asterisk 1.6.X. I will wait.
I just posted the traces. The UDP count simply never comes down to earth.
And my dialplan is so simple:

[general]
static=>yes
writeprotect=no
extenpatternmatchnew =yes
clearglobalvars=yes

[inbound]
exten =>_X.,1,Hangup(34)

As you can see, something is seriously wrong. By the way, my dialing had to
stop. Got in serious trouble. I am rethinking the whole process.
