[asterisk-dev] Asterisk 1.4.31-rc2, 1.6.0.27-rc3, 1.6.1.19-rc3, and 1.6.2.7-rc3 Now Available

The Asterisk Development Team has announced the third round of release
candidates of Asterisk for versions 1.6.0.27, 1.6.1.19, and 1.6.2.7 and the
second release candidate for Asterisk 1.4.31. These release candidates are
available for immediate download at
http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/asterisk/

Note that support for the 1.6.0 and 1.6.1 branches are moving to security fixes
only, scheduled for the first half of May 2010. The Asterisk development team
recommends that all users of Asterisk 1.6.0 and 1.6.1 series move to the 1.6.2
series for continued bug fix support.

These release candidates resolve two issues:

  * Fix crash in the audiohook_write_list
    (Closes issue #17052. Reported, tested, and patched by dvossel.
     Closes issue #16196. Reported, tested by atis.

  * Resolve deadlock in chan_local
    (Closes issue #17185. Reported by schmoozecom. Tested by schmoozecom,
     GameGamer43. Patched by dvossel.
