My 2 cents here: I am using in production 1.6.1 from SVN and it seems solid.
However, I only use SIP-2-SIP-2-H323 and func_odbc, cdr_adaptive. My app is
very simple, but I push hundreds of calls simultaneously. The thing works. I
think that the process of bug-fixing is ok. However, I lost a few months of
stress just to find out that  single line in the odbcinst.ini would turn the
ODBC functionality from mono-thread to multi-thread and thus achieve a much
higher load. And I had to hire one of the freetds guys, because Digium had
no clue. We need to get a better understanding of how things work. Sometimes
the problems are not inside Asterisk.
