[asterisk-dev] External MWI & IMAP

Hi,

i've used externnotify and a script with it's own status-tracking for a
cellphone-based mwi. Now that i have started to use imap-voicemail, this
does not (always) work correktly as the externnotify is only executed when
someone uses it's phone to listen to his messages but not via imap.

Is there another way to use external message indication? I remember that
someone at Asterisk-Tag mentioned some new event-based MWI, is there a
correct way to implement something like a http-get based MWI, or should i
start to code something like this, maybe based on res_smdi?
