I have a site that runs 1.6.1 and has had a ton of issues. We've cleared out a lot of them, but there's still work to do, since we do experience frequent crashes. The recent packet-of-death issue that we fixed (the latest security release) was part of this work. We have a lot of locking issues (part of a reviewboard) and seem to have it fixed, even though Russell suspects the fix just shows another underlying issue that we need to find.

In our install, we have subscriptions involved too. I haven't seen the 200 limit, but will test that too.
