[asterisk-dev] Next 1.6 beta release?

Not that I have really even touched 1.6 expect to play once, I would
steer clear of it for a while if I had any "Zaptel/DAHDI" hardware.

Someone from Digium said it was pretty much a find and replace operation.

I have done that many times with simple ten or fifteen page documents
meant for people and invariably something read incorrectly or a slight
variation from the "find" was left in place. Either contracts, scopes
of work, proposals are prime examples.

Now I make sure to read every word because a simple "find and replace"
is never that simple. It is always much easier with legal docs where
PARTYA and PARTYB are defined as variables in the first line or two of
a contract. I have rewritten most reusable documents to use this
form, although it lacks some personalization.

Why not make the interface name a variable?

I would have to think it's going to be an ongoing battle to find all
the little breaks for this "simple find and replace" conversion. I
feel for the guys/gals that have to track and fix them.

Thanks,
Steve Totaro
