Hi Russell,
Firstly , a very merry Christmas and a happy new year to you, hope all is
well on your end,
Just got this from the asterisk-dev list, am kinda new to all this so not
sure how this message will go to or appear. Just wondering about the new
chan_console. Currently am using Asterisk 1.4 on a live system running
app_meetme for conferences and chan_alsa which links to an AudioScience
soundcard for sending output to the speakers etc. Just having lots of
issues with occasional jitter, random choppy audio and such, so have been
trying now for months to work it out but little success, mainly I think its
due to the fact the ASI card supports from 32khz above and chan_alsa is
designed for 8khz or so im not sure to be honest,
So am just wondering if you can shed some information/hints about using
Asterisk 1.6 with chan_console and PortAudio, since PA supports the
Audioscience HPI , if used with app_meetme, in which we bridge callers to
one of the soundcard channels and another meetme room to playback sound
files over another channel, do you think it would work okay/smoothly
without much issues, especially on the resampling parts and such, I know
its probably too little info but just to get a rough idea to see if it could
work together,
Hope its not too much hassle , do let me know what you think, thanks in
advance,
Regards,
DS
