[asterisk-dev] Developing VM App for Astrisk running on Linksys SPA400

I have Linksys /Cisco SPA400 Voice Mail. The source code is Asterisk and
can be found here:

                ftp://ftp.linksys.com/opensourcecode/spa400/1.0.1.2/

I do not know Linux and not sure how to find what version it runs on. I
can telnet to the box and get a BusyBox prompt. I can login using u/p
found in the internet.

I have developed a Windows call manager for the phones which belong to
the same series as the SPA400. I want to add Voicemail-to-Email
functionality. Linksys/Cisco has not produced any API or documentation
on how to subscribe for VM notification or how to retrieve them. I have
full use of a complete SIP stack so it is a matter of sending the
correct SIP messages to the SPA400 and processing the SIP messages.

I figure I am going to have to reverse engineer this, but since Asterisk
is open-source, should not be too hard, but need some guidance.

Thanks,

Steve
