About a month ago, we started a weekly discussion of the 15 oldest mantis issues that were in the 'new' state. These issues are tracked to resolution and replaced with the next oldest issue in the 'new' state as slots in the spreadsheet open up. In just a month (that included a week of VON), we have reduced the "total days open" of the tracked issues from over 5240 days, down to below 4000 (shaving over 82 average days open off each issue). The discussions are open to the entire asterisk community, and we've had good participation from active asterisk developers. We have also received requests to discuss specific issues, and these issues are discussed in the second half of the weekly meeting. As this meeting progresses, we will start attacking the oldest issues in any state. If you are a reporter or stakeholder of a very old issue, fear not, you are not forgotten. :-) Below are the minutes of today's issue review. A reminder for next week's meeting will be sent on Friday to the asterisk-dev mailing list.

- Issue 5208: "SayAlpha does not read special characters, such as ',' and '/'." - A vote for new prompts is in progress, with favorable results so far.

- Issue 6019: "forced bypass switch in pbx.c makes realtime (or other switch) master" - Background task, no update this week.

- Issue 6683: "fix for callerid on Indian PSTN" - Steve made changes that should not break compatibility with the world outside of India, but it needs to be tested before this issue can be committed to trunk.

- Issue 6910: "play agent number to caller in queue" - Failed formatting review. Dwayne volunteered to correct formatting. No update this week.

- Issue 7011: "libpri locks up if an external resource-hungry process is run on the same system" - Issue 9275 may be the same issue as this issue. Josh is still looking for someone that is experiencing this issue, since it cannot be reproduced in-house. Matt F's glare fix may have resolved this, BJ may be able to test the glare patch after hours, time permitting

- Issue 7224: "initial patch for doing simple message flagging" - Background task, no update this week.

- Issue 7420: "addon for automon" - No disclaimer on file. Issue on hold for now.

- Issue 7497: "GROUP_COUNT returns invalid result on calls from queue to agentcallback or local channel" - A branch is available for test at http://svn.digium.com/view/asterisk/team/file/groupcountv2 , this issue is waiting for feedback as a problem may exist with the current implementation. If anyone is available to test and provide feedback, please do so.

- Issue 7793: "Call progress monitoring on outbound calls not detecting SIT tones" - Consensus is that CallP is experimental and unstable. It's possible that SIT tones may be slightly different from carrier to carrier ( ? ). Dwayne volunteered to try to reproduce in-house, when time permits. No update this week

- Issue 8210: "Outside user can't get auth for subscription when adding asterisk's account to their IM (res_jabber)" - Russell volunteered to take a look at this issue.

- Issue 8228: "Segmentation Fault when a call is transferred from a queue" - Josh volunteered to look at this issue.

- Issue 8277: "ztdynamic alarm handling, clock source master handling" - Russell volunteered to look at this issue.

- Issue 8285: "RTP goes into an error loop on network read errors. This occurs about once every 100K calls and can bring down the system within minutes of occurring" - This issue looks similar to 8286, Russell will investigate.

- Issue 8286: "IAX channel goes into an error loop on network read errors." - Russell to investigate with issue 8285 as well.

- Issue 8366: "Asterisk 1.2 builtin transfer works different from version 1.0" - Russell to look at this issue.

Other issues that were discussed by request include: 8119, 8529, 8532, 8555, 8677, 8684, 8775, 8786, 8835, 8850, 8944, 9015, 9042, 9044, and 9066.
