Hi,

Bug 4610 relates to not being able to register to an Asterisk box that
is behind a Pix firewall that is doing SIP protocol "fixup".

We just had this with a customer.

The actual problem is with the Pix.  The Pix replaces every occurence
of its own IP address in the SIP Register with the IP address of the
Asterisk box.  If there is one in the Authorization header, the pix
replaces that too.  That breaks the authentication.

Cisco should fix this.  A workaround is to replace the ip address with
a DNS name (IE register => user:pass at dnsname rather than register =>
user:pass at pixaddress).

Anyway - if someone unsuspends the bug I'll post our trace and
analysis and it can be closed as not an Asterisk bug.
