[asterisk-dev] Asterisk's "internal configuration memory"

Hello *,
suppose that the [default] context of sip.conf contains a setting, say
dtmfmode=auto, and then I remove that configuration line.

How does Asterisk behave (after a reload)? Will it use the default value
for that parameter or will it use the LAST VALUE that it loaded from
configuration files, even if it's not present in the actual file?
