If there is some code that needs to be maintained in a branch for a while, then I'm sure one of us would be happy to stick it in a branch.
However, I would very much prefer that the discussion related to this stay on the asterisk-dev mailing list. There are plenty of people on this list that may not know about skinny, but could provide valuable information about other parts of asterisk, and how to best integrate new features to best fit into the Asterisk architecture.
