I added some preliminary support for this a few months ago:

Obviously not the full fledged API discussed at AstriDevCon and in

http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-dev/2007-May/027740.html

but it does allow the exporting of call statistics for graphing with
MRTG/Cacti etc.
