Because the HFC Chip can only use multiples of 8 Bytes, but the dsp
would use multiple of 80 bytes when the Timerfreq = 100Hz, if you would
set it to either 250Hz or 1000Hz it would work with the same settings.

good point i will add different parameters for the hfc - poll and for
the dsp - poll in the misdn-init.conf, so that this is configureable.

If we would know from /proc or /sys which setting is enabled in the
kernel we could autogenerate a reasonable default value, but i don't
know yet if it's possible to find that out in userspace..
