Seems you are not used CISCO either. Cisco method does not 
exclude tab-completion. It just INCLUDE short version of 
commands, allowing you to complete commands by pressing TAB 
or see the list, if there more than one choice. IMHO, 
Asterisk CLI were made CISCO like from the beginning, and 
does not include full CISCO behaviou, since the first 
implementors just did not have enough 
time/power/inspiration do not essential parts. Later it 
just went to past. And that's not crypting. Before 
arguing - it's better to get know both sides of subject.
