I see this issue soon becoming a hot topic. While not on the
development team or a contributer I think we as the end users need to
do testing and allow some of the bugs to be verified or dismissed to
speed the way to 1.4 and beyond.

# svn checkout http://svn.digium.com/svn/asterisk/branches/1.4 asterisk
# svn checkout http://svn.digium.com/svn/zaptel/branches/1.4 zaptel
# svn checkout http://svn.digium.com/svn/libpri/branches/1.4 libpri
# cd zaptel
# make clean
# make install
# cd ../libpri
# make clean
# make install
# cd ../asterisk
# make clean
# make install
did most of this from memory if you need any help http://asterisk.org
and look a the download page.
