[asterisk-dev] ...don't blame me, blame KLM!

Friends, dedicated Asterisk testers!

I am sorry about not mailing you with tasks for you to spend your
weekend with.
I feel so responsible for causing you a boring weekend without new
stuff to test,
without the excitement of finding new bugs, without ... a fresh test-
branch that
crashes your computer in really cool ways.

My apologies. I am really sorry.

But don't blame me, blame KLM that destroyed my weekend by not
sending me
and my luggage to my destination. They moved me to an unconnected
hotel in
the middle of nowhere instead of taking me to the core of the
Asterisk network
- Huntsville - in time and together with my suitcase. KLM will not
get the pleasure
of selling me another ticket anywhere, unless I want random travel.
However,
a PBX that randomly works is a perfect solution for me and for you,
my friends.
Let's go bughunting, testing the testbranch!

So, friends, we have a lot to do. Just a few days to next weekend and
a lot of
catching up to do. Let's start.

I've updated the testbranch with

- improved support for service providers
Check sip.conf.sample - you can now add "register=yes" in a peer
entry!
- gain functions for zap channels
Make sure your grandmother hears you!
- the RTP timing patch
Get sound even when muted or with silence supression enabled on
your phone
- improved REALTIME dialplan function (it actually loads!)
Change the peer name any time you feel for it - in real time!
- G.722 passthrough support
   Wideband through your narrowband PBX!

And a README in HTML:
http://svn.digium.com/view/asterisk/team/oej/test-this-branch/
README.test-this-branch.html

Run "svn update", then "make install" and start testing!

Thanks for all the feedback! Please continue testing, it's extremely
valuable for all of us.

Next weekend, I will risk my sanity by going home in the care of KLM
again. Don't expect
me to be back online in weeks. If you happen to travel to airports
serviced by KLM, please
stop by and say hello to me, the risk is that I will be there, unless
it's Stockholm Arlanda,
which is my final destination - I'm not expecting to be there
anywhere soon...

Good luck bughunting!

/Olle
