And what gives you the feeling that that is a decision that will actually be implemented? First of all, it is a comment from a contributor (yes, a highly regarded and active contributor) of his opinion, it not a statement of policy. Second, he is _ONLY_ suggesting that it be replaced with a dialplan function, not that its functionality is going to disappear.
