This is not about being smart or a developer.  It is about the public 
record.  You made a public accusation, thus you are now responsible for 
backing it up.

Either provide proof of your accusations or retract your statement...   
What you have provided thus far does not even remotely equal 50% of 
North's patch and what you have documented is very standard C code, 
unless you can show prior art of owning the usage of the 'switch' statement.
