Did you notice TestClient and TestServer apps.

As they stand they allow you to actually place a call to a remote asterisk=
=20
server and do some basic tests on the resulting channel to decide if its=20
working or not.

I started working on some more comprehensive tests, but as it is it could=
=20
be useful for checking a server.
