For me binary-only is spelled as p-r-o-b-l-e-m-s . You're locked into a
specific combination someone else chose for you[0].

Right. However now there is even less pressure on Intel to give a decent
license for that API. Day dreaming? maybe. Intel here is still into
selling cards, not software.
[0] I do distribute a binary-only Asterisk distribution, but with the
complete source, and means to rebuild it to a binary.
