[Asterisk-Dev] allocation of ast_channel

I looking for infomations about the asterisk allocation of the channel.
I have a question: When a SIP client calls another SIP client, Asterisk
use "ast_channel_alloc()" function for every different calls. If I have 5
calls contemporary invokes asterisk  "ast_channel_alloc" 5 times?
