[Asterisk-Dev] New manager API command

I like this idea. I'm not a developer so maybe I don't really get a vote
:) 
However the reason I subscribe is to see what types of things are being
developed and to understand what is going on in the development world of
Asterisk.

i am think in build a manager APPL for retrieve files (recordings, 
voicemails) from the asterisk through the manager API

something like GETFILE <FILENAME> will be restricted to a particulars 
folders /var/spool/asterisk related... so u can get files from monitor 
or voicemail but don't compromise your server

there is anyone else interested on this..

consideration... will this be more stress for the asterisk server that 
have a rudy website runing?
