a GPL sip implementation can be found at :

(yes, those are C++ comments and no its not stable yet, but you can
already give it a try, please post any comments onto the astertest forum.).

If you are not yet convinced you should give the jitter patches a try,
here are some sample results:

http://www.astertest.com/downloads/ast-without-jb.wav  --> audio without
jitterbuffer or PLC and some jitter and packetloss.
http://www.astertest.com/downloads/ast-with-jb.wav --> same thing with
jitterbuffer and PLC
